So Shannon's birthday was earlier in the week which
meant there were birthday treats on Saturday. I don't know what I did until 2:30 pm but it must not have been too exciting. So we all show up to the office by 2:30 for the birthday celebrations. Shannon's husband, Dave had arrived just that morning. Both he and Pat came to the office to help celebrate. We had cake and chips again. We played some Indian game called
Housie which is a little like bingo. They handed out these paper "game cards" for use to play with. There were three rows and nine columns. Not all the squares had numbers in them. There are four winners to the game. You can win by getting one of the following: row 1, row 2, row 3, or the 4 corners. If you don't have a number in each corner you use the next closest number. Once one person wins one of the four no one else can call that out. So
Mandip and
Hitesh called out numbers (0 to 100) until there were four winners.

After the celebration the guys put together cricket teams to play on Sunday. It was mechanical versus the rest of the
office. Apparently when Sean (RI structural
engr) was here he wanted to see a cricket match between the
mech and structural since Rob was here. Well it didn't happen when they were here but it finally happened. :)

Side Note: So Shannon took Dave to that place we found to get a
kurta. She told them to pull out the size 50 but apparently Dave is a size 46! So we didn't have to worry.
