Saturday 5/24/2008 Running around

Highlights:

• Mechanical presentation was cancelled at the last minute due to technical complications. I stuck around the office until Heather was finished with the structural presentation.
• Went to Icy Pik for meat (I just get frozen chicken nuggets).
• Drove pass the fair grounds and found out they were having a vacation expo not an arts and crafts fair :(
• Dropped off the frozen food and picked up the items to return to the empty apartments. Went to those places to make the beds and put things away.
• Went to check out the ice cream shop E-Scoops. Didn't really like their cheese pizza. Tried two different flavors of "chilled stone" ice cream. We liked the Lovin' Oven one but not the mint one. The mint here taste like spearmint and we are use to peppermint. :)
• Went next door to check out Ohm Books. I picked up 3 books.
• We returned to our apartments to hang out until the next scheduled appointment.
• We went to check out the carnival thing near our apartments. Gemar showed up and took us to first meet his family. We met his mother, father, wife, kids, etc. Then we all went off to the carnival. It was fun but his kids are too young to go on the rides I like and Heather gets sick so didn't want to go with me. :( oh well
• Next to the carnival was a mountain thing. We went to that also. It was suppose to be like taking the pilgrimage some people do up the Himalayan Mountains. It was all on this bamboo structure that we had seen them building for a while.
• After Heather came over and we watched the movie "Bewitched" on TV.
